COME JUST AS YOU ARE

WHAT TO EXPECT AT FOOTHILL VINEYARD CHURCH:

HEART OF WORSHIP

In addition to living lifestyles of worship to God, we believe gathering for corporate worship is a vital part of the Christian life. We want to foster an atmosphere where people can freely express their love for God in worship with the community of believers. So whether you prefer sitting, standing, kneeling, or dancing, feel free to worship in a way that enables you to experience the presence of God. In addition to music, we offer stations along the sides for journaling, art, communion, and prayer, since we believe worship can be expressed in many ways.

The Vineyard style of worship can also be described as non-hype. We love to worship passionately, but we also desire authenticity and simplicity. We're not interested in stirring up an extreme response or manufacturing some kind of fake spiritual energy during worship. We simply invite the Holy Spirit to be present and to reign in our time, and we welcome what He brings.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

Our church believes that this community is meant for more than Sundays. We aim to build lasting and meaningful relationships, centered around Christ and the work God is doing all around us. To deepen these friendships, we have lunch together after the 11 am service and spend time together in community. We were made for life together, to love outward, and we’d love to have you join us for lunch!

COMMUNION

At the last supper with his disciples, Jesus broke bread with them and said, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me" (Luke 22:19). We take communion together several Sundays a month to remember Christ's sacrifice for us. Whether done in a group or as an individual, it is a way to honor Jesus and to remember what He did for us on the cross.

WELCOMING
THE HOLY SPIRIT

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwell inside of us and empower us to do God's work here on earth. We believe the Spirit is alive and active today and must be embraced before it can become an integral part of a believer's life. In order for this to take place, one must simply welcome the Spirit into their lives and "practice" responding

PRAYER MINISTRY TIME

Prayer is an integral part of our faith that allows us to connect directly with God. We believe God’s Spirit works in us through prayer, healing our wounds and changing our lives. We want to stand with you in prayer through the joys and challenges of life. At our gatherings, you’ll find prayer teams ready to pray with you about anything that is on your heart.
