Support Group for Depression, Bipolar, and anxiety

Mondays @ 7pm. Foothill Vineyard Church

It is a very private illness, one that isn't talked of easily in social situations. The shame, ridicule, embarrassment, judgement, misunderstanding, fear, and day to day battle is often times too much to bear. Through severe peaks and valleys and trial and error, I finally found my way to help. The right counseling and therapy is essential. Reading the right books, putting learned behavior modifications into action all made a huge difference in my life and the management of my disorder. But the biggest difference and what has had the biggest impact in my life was my decision to follow Jesus Christ and place my full hope in him.

I am well aware that not everyone that lives with depression, or other mental illness are comfortable talking about it. Fear, Anxiety, Rejection, Ridicule, Shame, and much more keeps people from vocalizing. This is what makes it a private illness. One that is kept in the dark, and it causes us to become all the more isolated.

I want to bring it out of the dark. Give people a voice. Provide a safe, and empathetic place to go, judgement free.

Ephesians Women’s Study:  Tuesdays @10:00 am.  Foothill Vineyard Church

Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world.

Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm. Hanson’s Home

Most of us are so busy that the thought of taking one day each week to slow down and reconnect with God and our family, rest and relax, and focus on refreshing sounds unfeasible. We can’t slow down – or so we think. But what if God planned the Sabbath because He knew we would be busy?  What if slowing down to reflect and refresh gave you the fuel to face the week ahead?  Is there a place for Sabbath living in the 21st century?  Can we really go from doing, doing, doing 24/7 to simply being for one day each week?  We’ll discuss Sabbath living in today’s world and how it can help you live healthier and happier as you slow down each week the way God intended.

Philippians Kids Study.jpg

Wednesdays @ 7pm.  Foothill Vineyard Church

Calling all kids! We’ve got a small group just for you. Join us for lots of games, snacks and a small group study on joy!

Phil Vischer, Founder of Jellyfish Labs and co-creator of the acclaimed VeggieTales, dives into the book of Philippians to answer the question, "Where does joy come from?" With the help of some animated friends, Phil unpacks what it means to live with joy both in times of happiness and in times of sadness.

Wednesdays @ 7pm.  Foothill Vineyard Church

The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus’s journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the Suffering Savior on the road of discipleship.

In this 11-part series on the Gospel of Mark, author and speaker Francis Chan invites us to walk with him along the ancient ways of the Master. Tracing the steps of Jesus and the Twelve through Israel, Francis explores the major themes of the Gospel of Mark, and asks: Are we willing to take this journey to embrace discipleship?

Sundays @ 2pm.  Foothill Vineyard Church

After strenuous studies, you walk across the stage, gripping your diploma—you’ve arrived. Adult at last. But all of a sudden, instead of a diploma you hold a paycheck in one hand and a stack of bills in the other. You find yourself swimming in the treacherous seas of adulthood surrounded by 401ks, insurance, bosses, potential spouses, and everything in between. How can you begin to navigate your 20s and 30s, and still honor God in the process?

Jonathan Pokluda is a Teaching Pastor at Watermark Church and a speaker at The Porch, a gathering of young adults in Dallas, Texas. In this 6-part series, Jonathan speaks to young adults on the art of “adulting” for Christ. He’ll walk through how to discern God’s will for your life right now and specify how you can best glorify Him through your career, relationships, and commitments.
